Finally gathered together what I don't really like about the cracked article.

For the most part, the author is right. The only reason I can't fully agree with him is because I start thinking about some kid in a small town that thinks and acts completely different from everybody else in the town. Where before he might have just suffered and wondered what was wrong with him and been tortured incessantly by all the other kids in that town. Now the internet and those same online communities would give that same kid some sense that he was not alone. That's may or may not be kinda farfetched, but that's what I thought of while reading it, what about that kid.

The article did make me feel pretty fortunate though, because I feel like there are 5 or 6 people I could have named. Another reason I objected to it a little internally is because being kinda isolated and away from friends is obviously difficult and the internet may not be good for making friendships, but it's damn good for helping to maintain them. Like most things, it's all about balance. The internet is just a tool, like anything else. It's how you use it that matters.
